Summary: Based around the plot of Sugar Sugar Rune, Pierre and Chocolate are finding it hard to be together when everything seems to be going against them. There are their backgrounds, their status and reputation to consider. But how can either of them stop their hearts from turning crimson red for one another. Is Pierre really deceiving Chocolate? Will Chocolate let Pierre take her heart on their first date? Or will an unexpected turn of events turn both their heart colours into something that they weren’t ready for?
Crimson Red
There is nothing worse than having to see those who you have cared about slip away from you. Thatʼs why I have vowed to myself that I would never get close to anyone and let my heart be captivated. Love and all the feelings of the heart are nothing but an illusion of stupid humans. Thatʼs why it is better to freeze your heart while you can and never open up or show any emotions to anyone. That is the rule that I have grown accustomed to.
I have frozen my heart long ago and now nothing can get to it. Everything that everyone knows about me is artificial. Every emotion, ever expression, every word and every gesture. My whole existence is fake. Nothing but an illusion. But why does my heart beat so furiously whenever I see her. Even though I have vowed to myself that I would never have a heart again. “Please, donʼt let my heart beat for you.”
On the way to school in the morning.
“Hey, Chocolate! Vanilla! Wait for us would ya?”
“Not our fault that you guys are so slow. Woo! Saul! Hurry up and catch up or all of us will be late!”
“Hey, Vanilla! Do something bout Chocolate!”
“Chocolate. We should wait for them.”
“Nah, donʼt worry bout them. Theyʼll catch up...”
Thump, thump, thump. Damn it. It hurts. I donʼt understand it. Iʼm not supposed to feel this way about anyone. Why is my heart going out to her? Thump, thump, thump. This is just like the pain I had felt when I first converted. “Pierre, tonight is the night. You must understand that you are the Ogre Prince and you are responsible for the future of all of us. You must take her heart today.”
“I understand.”
Thatʼs what Iʼve said to Glace-sama. But looking at her now, her smiling face, enjoying herself, it feels like I already experienced all these feelings before, even though I know that that is impossible. Iʼm sorry, Chocolate, but I need to do this.
“Chocolate.”
“Pierre.”
Why do you have to look at me with such untrusting eyes? Youʼre only making it harder for me. My sweet, sweet Chocolate. “Iʼve got my hands on some tickets to the aquarium.
Would you like to come with me after school today?”
Caution? Distrust? Doubt? What exactly is that look in her eyes? “Sure. Iʼll be there.”
“Oi, Chocolate.”
I have to wrap this up quickly.
“Great, then meet me at the front of the aquarium 30 minutes after school ends. See you then.”
And walking away from you, knowing that today everything is going to change is even harder.
“Now all that is left to do us make her our Princess and take away her heart and replace it with Noir, Pierre.”
“I understand.”
Thatʼs what will soon be said once I arrive home, but...
Iʼm sorry Chocolate. Forgive me.
During the lunch time break in the school cafeteria.
“Oi, Chocolate! What are you doing?”
“Donʼt worry bout it, Woo. Everythingʼs gonna be fine.”
“Did you forget that Pierre is dangerous. We donʼt know anything bout him, we have no idea where he came from and there is a huge possibility that he is from the Magic World. Do you know about the risk that you are open to if you go out with him?”
“If there is a chance that Pierre is from the Magic World, then wouldnʼt it be convenient if I took his heart? So, I donʼt see why I canʼt go.”
You guys are annoying. If I decided that Iʼll go, then Iʼll go. Why donʼt you just understand that? Even if you tell me that heʼs dangerous that will not stop me from doing what I want to do!
“Chocolate, we just donʼt want you to be in danger that is practically staring you in the face.”
“Vanilla, I understand your motive, but could you phrase it a bit differently.”
“Sorry Chocolate. Itʼs just that sometimes, you are so dumb that you wouldnʼt notice the simplest things that are in front of you.”
And youʼre saying that youʼre my friend. Doesnʼt seem like it right now.
“Look, I said that Iʼm going, right, so Iʼm going, and thatʼs that.”
I donʼt like this idea either, you guys. And itʼs not exactly because of the chance that I might be able to take his heart. Itʼs because I need to understand wether it is my heart that is beating by itself or if he is making it beat on purpose.
“Pierre, why am I thinking about you?”
After school in front of the aquarium.
Hm. The girls and I had gotten tickets from Pierre-sama to go to the aquarium. But why couldnʼt he come with us? Some important business that he had? Or maybe it had something to do with that Chocolate?
“Yurika, are you okay. You seem to be out of it today. Are you sure that you donʼt want to go home?”
“No, donʼt worry Iʼm okay. And besides, these tickets were given to us by Pierre-sama. It would be an offense to let them go to waste. And I do enjoy the-”
Pierre-sama! Playing in the water? With little kids? Smiling and laughing? Thump, thump.
Why is it that we never see Pierre-sama smiling and yet these kids get to see it? And they donʼt even have to give anything in return. They should be able to pay back Pierre-sama in any way that they can! Making him go out of his way to dirty himself and yet he doesnʼt get anything in return. Well then, letʼs go an teach those kids-
“Pierre! Pierre!”
“Hey Chocolate! Iʼll come in a second!”
Chocolate! What is she doing here? And with Pierre-sama! Are they going to go in together? Is this what Pierre-sama meant by ʻimportant businessʼ. Chocolate?
“Letʼs go in?”
“Sure.”
Iʼm not going to let them get away from me like this. “So girls, should we hurry up and go in. We might let something interesting slip from our hands.”
“Letʼs go then!”
“Yea, Iʼve always wanted to go to this aquarium!”
Chocolate, you wonʼt get away with this!
Inside the aquarium.Man, Pierre still looks good even out of the school uniform. You can literally see sparkles and roses shooting out from the background. Ah, I canʼt take my eyes away from him.
“And is this fish dies, then their partner will never have another mate and will stay alone until it dies. Donʼt you think thatʼs beautiful?”
ʻYou look cute even when youʼre out of the school uniform.ʼ Thatʼs what I want to tell you, but how can I. Thump, thump, thump. No, no, no. I must focus. I must take her heart today.
“Um...”
Your eyes. Thereʼs something different about your eyes today. No! What am I thinking? I must get away from him for a second.
“I need to use the bathroom. Iʼll be back in a second.”
Why does my heart beat like this?
Chocolate. Hurry up and come back.
“Pierre-sama. What are you doing here?”

Crap, if Chocolate comes now, then this is going to be a problem. Lucky! They have Noir hearts. If I take it now, then theyʼll forget everything and Chocolate wonʼt have to find out.
“Crystallisation. Noir, come to me!”
I can feel the darkness of the Noir spreading through me. This is my fate? But itʼs always fun to see these girls faint when I take their hearts, even if they are made out of Noir. Letʼs see. Six Noir hearts. Not so shabby.
“Pierre?”
“Chocolate!”
No! Why did she have to see this?
Why? Why did he do this?

How am I supposed to take her heart now?
